Description
As a Front-End developer you will be responsible for coding and maintaining the front-end of websites and blogs for our client's core brands. You will work in small, concentrated teams and influence projects from inception. It will be your job to take feedback from across departments and teams and apply it accordingly. Since you will be involved in the process from kickoff to QA, you will have the opportunity to impact processes and workflow, educate on industry trends, and influence the use of new technologies.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Provide accurate estimates of features
- Own technical leadership on client projects
- Design, develop, test, implement and support new front-end applications, systems, and tools, by working closely with other developers
- Provide mentorship to web engineers to help them develop their technical proficiencies
- Keep client credentials, components of statistical work, client documents and interfacing of their systems confidential
- Support internal documentation, training, and other special projects, as required
- Examine and keep track of the latest developments and direction of web-based platforms
- Introduce process improvements and development standards
- Perform research and training
- Maintain and update existing applications
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and teams
- Assist in recruiting and hiring of new Engineers
- Clearly and effectively collaborate with internal and external clients
- Implement proper design principles for projects and frameworks
- Architect dynamic data-driven web experiences using various web-based APIs
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience working as a developer writing code, 3+ years exprience with JavaScript desired.
- Familiarity with communicating complex solutions to external clients, in a way that non-technical stakeholders would understand
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in architecting and delivering complex web-based applications
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with React.js.
- Experience with Redux, GraphQL, Apollo, and AWS preferred
- Prior experience with multiple development methodologies
