We have an opening for an temporary IT Architect to join the Student Affairs Information Technologies team. This is a 6 month contract position, with possibility of extension.

SAIT offers a full suite of services to clients, including: project management; business systems analysis; development, management, and support of applications, network services, servers, and desktops.  Systems managed by SAIT are complex, process and store regulated sensitive personal data for every student faculty and staff person on campus, and tightly integrated with mission critical campus systems. SAIT is currently in a multi-year transition from reliance on in-house-developed and supported proprietary software applications to a mix of commercial off-the-shelf software, open source software and internally developed applications developed using industry standard development tools and practices.

This position is one of a team of three (project manager, business analyst, and IT architect) that are responsible for defining the scope, requirements, and design of the replacement of the campuses Transfer Course System (TCS). This replacement will assume the responsibilities of the current mainframe TCS system as well as advance these capabilities to include workflow and processing of electronic transcripts and document imaging of paper transcripts received by the UC Berkeley campus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Applies advanced IT architecture concepts to function as the highest level technical expert within the specialty areas of database architecture, design and development of enterprise level web based applications, system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems, software service delivery infrastructure (SOA), and software development methodology.
- Develops high level technology frameworks for implementation of complex enterprise systems, specifically the initial design and frameworks for the replacement of the Transfer Course System and implementation of electronic transcripts utilizing a strong understanding of both complex business processes and organizational objectives as well as a technology stack consisting of: Oracle, Java, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, GWT, Mvp4g, GTX, Web Services and RPC.
- Designs highly complex user system interfaces and business application development frameworks and prototypes. Ensures all system design elements and standards are considered.
- May lead or provide technical guidance to a large development team in the design of highly complex systems.
- Responsible for providing analysis on highly complex issues that impact design of future concepts, products or technologies.  Responsible for performing highly complex feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, and applications development.
- Utilizes strong design pattern knowledge to implement high level design and frameworks from which the development team can develop and implement complex enterprise systems. Has a strong understanding of design patterns including MVP and MVC as well as others.
- Makes key design decisions with significant impact on the size, scope, and level of effort required for development. Works with all development team members/roles as well as senior management, management, and front line staff to ensure on time, well documented, well designed, maintainable, and high quality software deliverables.
- Investigates new technologies and upgrades to existing system components to determine optimal system design while ensuring cost and schedule constraints are managed appropriately. Responsible for hands on development of proof of concept and prototypes and advocates for needed design changes and technology upgrades.

Job Description:

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world's leading conservation organization, seeks a Online Marketing professional to plan and lead projects for the Development Department in the areas of email and website marketing and engagement with a primary focus on existing and potential members of WWF's Partners in Conservation program, which is for individuals making gifts of $1,000 or more annually. In addition, this person will support the online marketing needs of other Development departments including Planned Giving, Major Gifts and Corporate Relations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Serves as project manager and internal champion for online engagement and fundraising for Partners in Conservation and prospects. Works with direct response teams (online and off) and Development teams to build and optimize an integrated channel management strategy, brainstorm new tactics, secure approval and implement activities.
2.Plans and implements a variety of email, web and interactive projects using HTML, Photoshop, Convio and other tools as needed. Works closely with Online and Development Directors to plan overall strategy for evergreen and tactical email campaigns in conjunction with other direct response channels to create a fully integrated plan. Analyzes results and shares with team.
3.Develops creative ideas and innovative methods for promoting WWF online content, including videos, images, newsletters, special events, etc., to segmented audiences. Plans and prioritizes updates to these activities, analyzes results and shares with teams.
4.Manages and assists with online database segmentation, updates and analyses. Confirms accurate synchronization of data between Convio and other online tools and the donor database of record (currently Team Approach). Identifies and reports on data problems and seeks solutions working with cross-functional teams.
5.Monitors key performance indicators for Partners in Conservation members and prospects, including revenue performance and trends, website traffic, and email statistics, among others. Identifies trends, shares results with team and uses analysis to make tactical decisions in other activities and build into overall program strategy.
6.Coordinates with Online, Direct Response and Development teams, and others as necessary, including legal, operations, IT, and program marketing, to plan and implement the above activities, and any others, to ensure projects are launched efficiently and successfully from a marketing, legal, and operational perspective.
7.Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Relationships:
1.Internal: The Online Marketing Senior Specialist will have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Manager of Partners in Conservation. Daily interaction with Online Marketing team and Development team. Frequent interaction with web team, legal department, direct response team, program marketing, member services, partner marketing, and IT.

2.External: Contact with external email vendor and occasionally with online partners to ensure programs and campaigns are running appropriately. Minimum Requirements:
1.Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of six years of overall online marketing or a combination of related experience in online, fundraising, and/or direct response marketing is also required. At least 3 years of email marketing experience is required using Convio or a similar online CRM application suite. A minimum of 4 years HTML and Photoshop expertise is mandatory.

2.Skills and Abilities
•Experience with development fundraising a plus
•Excellent attention to detail and consistent accuracy and timeliness
•Strong project management, analytical and organizational skills
•Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to learn new online CMS and email marketing tools
